Why timing matters
If you have been using the same glasses for several years, the risk is not just blurred vision — an outdated prescription can be masking a change caused by cataract, diabetes or glaucoma. An eye examination costs little and checks for all of these at once.

Do I need to buy glasses from you after an examination here? +
No. Your prescription is yours and you are free to have it dispensed anywhere. We are happy to explain what to look for wherever you go.
How long does it take to make my glasses? +
Standard single-vision lenses are usually ready quickly; progressive, high-index and specially coated lenses take longer as they are ordered to your prescription.
Are blue-light filter lenses necessary? +
They are optional. For most screen-related discomfort, a correct prescription, adequate lubrication and regular breaks do more than a blue filter does.
How often should spectacles be changed? +
Whenever the prescription changes, and in general after an eye test every one to two years — sooner for children and for anyone with diabetes.
